Paragon grabs gold at industry Oscars

Paragon Interiors Group Plc

National interior design and build specialist, Paragon Interiors Group Plc (Paragon), is celebrating again after winning the ‘Gold’ award at the equivalent of its industry Oscars last night (June 5th) – the annual FIS Contractors Awards.

Held at the Dorchester Hotel and attended by close to 500 members and guests, the awards recognise, promote and encourage high levels of craftsmanship in the finishes and interiors sector.

Paragon took the top prize in the  “Interior Fit-Out (up to £1m and over)” category for its groundbreaking project for PKF Cooper Parry’s new West Midlands office at Blythe Valley Park, Solihull.

This eye-catching design was named one of the ‘coolest offices of the year’ by global careers search engine Adzuna and with over 150 different finishes and materials, there was plenty for the FIS judges to consider when they paid a visit to the office in February.

Paragon Business Unit Director, Lee Harris, who picked up the award on behalf of the Paragon team commented;

The FIS is known as the ‘voice of the finishes and interiors sector’, with a vision to be a driving force in the construction industry and a beacon for the highest possible standards so we are absolutely thrilled to be recognised for our outstanding work here.

‘The whole project, known as ‘Parrydise’ by our client, is unashamedly bold. They have been able to create, reflect and reinforce an incredibly vibrant organisational culture through their new workplace and we are proud to have played a part in that.

‘Whilst a giant pink bull in reception may not instantly evoke thoughts of accountants they will soon realise that this is PKF Cooper Parry, this is Paragon and this is a very different way of thinking and working.

Along with the colourful design and vibrant finishes, PKF Cooper Parry’s ‘Parrydise’ features undulating deep pile artificial grass parkland, complete with crazy golf course, mini trampettes in breakout areas, a running track to encourage ‘walking meetings’, space hoppers, bikes and even a Segway track.
