Paragon up for the cup with County

Paragon Interiors Group Plc

Anyone who knows the Paragon family will know that we’re all huge sports fans, especially when it comes to our local teams.

So you can imagine how proud we are to say that once again, our name will be on the shirts of the world’s oldest football league club, Notts County FC.

Paragon first sponsored the Magpies back in 2005 but this time around there’s a major difference, one that shows the spirit of innovation that runs between both the club and Paragon, with Paragon founder and Chairman Alan Hardy now at the helm at Meadow Lane.

In a first for shirt sponsorship in the UK, the Magpies offered local firms the chance to sponsor the first-team shirt on a month-by-month basis. The opportunity arose when their association with betting giant Ladbrokes came to an end and Alan and his board wanted to do something a little different and to make a truly local offering.

“It would have been easy for us to tout ourselves with a big national firm, but our ethos as a football club has always been about the community,” Alan explained. “We want them to have a presence in the city so people can relate to them and as a club we feel it’s vitally important for us to engage with the local business sector. “The response we have had so far has been fantastic because I think businesses realise the mass brand exposure they can generate from being associated with us”.

“There are obvious other benefits too because those that do take up the opportunity will also enjoy unrivalled access to the football club.”

The benefits of the deal will see businesses have their logo on the front of the new Puma home and away kit for the 2017-18 league season with cup matches excluded.

It is those matches that Paragon have secured, with the chance of a glorious cup-run in the offing.

Gary Perry, Paragon CEO said;

“One of the many reasons that I wanted to work with Paragon and help take them to the next level is that as a business, we have always been very innovative and willing to challenge the status quo. We like to break the boundaries but most of all, we love to have fun”.

“This is something all of our team can be proud of, even those who support the other team in town. This is about celebrating innovation and bringing together the local business community on a national stage. We can’t wait for the season to start!”
