#insideOut – Charity Single for No.1

Hot on the heels of our latest accolade, The Sunday Times ‘Work in the Community’ Special Award 2014, Paragon Interiors’ pushers for chart success, with all of the proceeds going to charity.

Paragon Interiors Group Plc conceived the idea of a “song in a day” as a creative way to motivate its team at their quarterly away day. However, it soon became much more than that, as Alan Hardy, managing director of the firm (which last week celebrated securing a place in the respected Sunday Times “Best Places to Work” and took home the award for ‘Outstanding Work in the Community’) explains;

“This actually started out as a team building exercise at a quarterly away day but we soon all realised that we were building something with real momentum and potential. Throughout the day (we only had that long to write, record and produce it) you could see people really coming out of their shells and beginning to shine. It was inspirational and they realised that so many are people are judged on first impressions.

“That quickly became the cornerstone of the message ‘it’s what’s inside that counts’ as we felt that so many people are overlooked based purely on outward physical appearances. People have such potential if they are given a chance. That message chimes with what we’ve done as a company and we hope to be able to spread it a little further and benefit two great charities as we do it.”

“We’ve already got two charities lined up to benefit, http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/ and http://www.trentbridge.co.uk/trust/, the final mix is now finished and we’re working on a cracking little video to go along side it, which will be ready this weekend. Our dream would be to get this into the Top Ten downloads chart as it could make a real difference to these two great causes.”

The single, “Inside Out” will be launched, and available for download on Monday 10th March 2014, from the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Ground, where Trent Bridge Community Trust is based.
