KEY DELIVERABLES

The legal sector often conjures up imagery of dusty bookshelves, panelled rooms and formal surroundings but employees at Pinsent Masons can now enjoy the benefit of quiet rooms and collaboration areas at either end of the floor.

There is also a variety of meeting rooms, a staff kitchen, social hub and a welcome space. It is a far cry from the law firms of yesteryear but times have changed and this is the law firm of the future.

On a scheme such as this, the detail is very important. We worked hard to protect the sophisticated concept through the construction process by producing detailed and coordinated design information to ensure that even the smallest details were not overlooked.
Creating balance and elegance whilst delivering the project required constant care to ensure nothing seemed out of place or withdrew your focus from such clean and elegant design.

OBJECTIVE

Pinsent Masons is a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm. They have been named as the most innovative law firm in Europe by the Financial Times and with a global presence, also have UK offices in Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Manchester.

When the lease on their Birmingham office was up for expiry, a new, more innovative approach was taken – a dual site strategy. The 4th floor at 19 Cornwall Street was selected for their dedicated business support unit, whilst 55 Colmore Row was chosen as its new city headquarters.

The critical importance of their business support unit to the delivery of their services is testimony to Pinsent Masons’ acute understanding of the way the industry is changing and the importance of client service. They are at the forefront of this and we are proud to play our part in it.

Paragon was chosen as the fit-out contractor at 19 Cornwall Street and immediately set about transforming the 19,500 sq ft blank canvas into a vibrant new workspace.
